Ukraine war day 837: 103 villages attacked; Russia accused France of lying

Moscow [Russia], June 10: On June 9, the Ukrainian army announced that Russia had targeted 103 settlements and 93 infrastructure facilities in Ukraine in the past day.
In total, Russia attacked 10 provinces in southern, eastern and northern Ukraine. In Kharkiv province, shelling in Chuhuiv district killed one man and injured two others, The Kyiv Independent website quoted provincial leader Oleh Sinehubov as saying.
An overnight attack injured a man in the village of Borova, Izium region, while a woman was killed in an attack on the evening of June 8 in a settlement near Kupiansk.
According to the military authorities of Kherson province, Russian forces targeted 16 areas, including the city of Kherson, the capital of the province. The attacks killed one person and injured two others, and damaged 13 homes.
Other areas were also attacked but there were no casualties.
Russia has not commented on the above information.
Sputnik news agency quoted an announcement from the Russian Ministry of Defense saying that the northern battle group attacked 4 Ukrainian brigades in Kharkiv, preventing 7 counterattacks in 24 hours, eliminating 225 enemy soldiers, 7 vehicles and a 152 mm howitzer.
The western group eliminated 400 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank, and two armored vehicles. The central group prevented 6 counterattacks and killed 300 enemy soldiers. The southern group eliminated 375 Ukrainian soldiers, an ammunition depot, and 2 armored vehicles. The eastern group excluded 140 soldiers.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that it shot down an Mi-8 helicopter, blocked 66 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and 13 rockets launched from the HIMARS system, according to TASS. A UAV was shot down in the Bryansk region of Russia, bordering northern Ukraine.
Russia did not mention anything about the modern Su-57 fighter jet being damaged after the attack that Ukraine claimed to have conducted. Ukrainian intelligence said that the country's forces attacked and damaged a Russian Su-57 fighter at Akhtubinsk airport in the Astrakhan region, southern Russia, 589 km from the front line in Ukraine.
