Two people killed while 21 injured in knife attack at Chinese hospital

Beijing [China], May 8: Two people have been killed and 21 others injured in an attack at a hospital in south-western China.
Police in Zhenxiong County, in the south-western province of Yunnan, said on Tuesday that a man from a local village had carried out the attacks with a knife shortly before midday.
No further information was available on possible motives for the attack, nor on the identities of the victims.
China's state news agency Xinhua had previously reported 10 victims, without specifying the number of killed and wounded. Videos circulated on the Chinese social media platform Weibo showing the arrest of the suspected perpetrator. Other pictures from the scene showed injured victims on the ground. (DPA)
