Tunisia busts drug trafficking network, arrests 2

Tunis [Tunisia], January 15: Tunisian security units have dismantled a drug trafficking network in Ariana province near the capital Tunis, arresting two individuals, the National Guard said Tuesday on its Facebook page.
During the operation, the security units confiscated five cannabis plaques and a sum of money.
The report did not mention the timing of the operation or the nationalities of the suspects.
The Tunisian National Guard called on all citizens to cooperate with the security services by reporting any suspicious information or movements about drug trafficking.
The Tunisian government has taken a strong stance against drug trafficking, arresting hundreds of individuals involved in the crime during recent nationwide operations.
