Trump 'riding a lion' to campaign

Aug 25, 2024

Washington [US], August 25: The Independent newspaper reported on August 25 that former US President Donald Trump shared on the social network Truth Social an image of himself riding a lion, apparently a product of artificial intelligence (AI).
Underneath the photo, the Republican candidate wrote that "only one president can make America great again."
Earlier on August 18, Mr. Trump's Truth Social social network account appeared with images of Taylor Swift and her fans that he shared, along with the comment: "I agree!".
The above image was manipulated using deepfake technology , a tool used to replace one person's portrait with another and is completely unreal, according to The Guardian on August 19.
The image of Mr Trump riding a lion was posted as a YouGov poll showed his rival Vice President Kamala Harris leading in many polls.
The poll, conducted online from August 16-19 with the participation of 1,143 American adults, with the results released on August 24, surveyed their assessments of the two candidates in non-political contexts.
Accordingly, many Americans believe that Ms. Harris will win the cooking competition as well as the dancing competition. The Vice President is also said to be able to eat spicy food better and dress better.
In addition, Ms. Harris was also rated as "more likely to remember birthdays, keep secrets and give better relationship advice" than Mr. Trump.
In another development, The Hill newspaper on August 25 quoted US Attorney Kevin G. Ritz as saying that a 37-year-old man had just been indicted for threatening President Joe Biden, Vice President Harris and former President Barack Obama.
Accordingly, defendant Kyl Alton Hall posted multiple times on social network X in June. "Specifically, in the posts, he threatened to kill, assassinate, shoot down and crash President Biden's plane, assassinate Vice President Harris and assassinate former President Obama," said a statement from the US Attorney's Office in the Western District of Tennessee.
The defendant's posts came just weeks before the attempted assassination of former President Trump, which prompted both Republicans and Democrats to push for a de-escalation of political hostility
