The US targets China's shipbuilding industry

May 13, 2024

Washington [USA], May 13: This is the first industry-specific investigation by US President Joe Biden 's administration under section 301 of the US Trade Act of 1974.
Responding to the above information, China's Ministry of Commerce announced that the country "resolutely opposes" the investigation, and emphasized that this action is a "cumulative mistake".
Many experts assess that this move will put more pressure on China as the trade war between the US and China goes beyond the technology sector and spreads to the manufacturing industry.
