Ten dead, over 60 injured in Turkey traffic accident

Ankara [Turkey], December 29: At least 10 people were killed and 61 injured after a multiple-vehicle collision in northern Turkey on Thursday, state media reported.
The collision involved seven vehicles, among them passenger buses and a truck. It occurred on Turkey's Northern Marmara highway in thick fog, state news agency Anadolu said.
Six drivers were detained over suspected negligence as part of an investigation into the accident in the north-western province of Sakarya, the report added.
The pile up is believed to have happened after a passenger car hit a truck and other vehicles crashed into them, Sakarya Governor Yaşar Karadeniz told reporters at the site.
