SEWA provides services for Al Hafiya lake in Kalba

Sharjah [UAE], May 21: Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed the construction of a pumping station and the extension of water lines for the Al Hafiya lake project in Kalba, at a cost of AED 27 million.
The water lines, with a diameter of 400 mm and a length of 4 km, were extended using high-quality carbon steel materials.
Additionally, an underground water tank with a capacity of half a million gallons was built, along with five high-quality and efficient pumps. Approximately 40,604,921 IG (184,594 m³) of water was pumped as part of the Authority's efforts to contribute to the development of this urban project.
Youssef Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammadi, Acting Director of Kalba Department, explained that the electrical network was established using high-voltage cables with a length of 3,750 meters and low-voltage cables with a length of 450 meters. Two 11 kV substations and two electrical distribution boxes were installed at a total cost of AED 944,650.
He further mentioned that 123 lighting poles with lanterns were installed, and low-voltage cables for lighting poles were extended over a length of 6,500 metres. Four lighting control boxes were also installed, along with concealed lighting along the lake extension, with a length of 3,100 meters, at a total cost of AED 10,200,000.
