Russia - Islamic World Economic Forum opens in Kazan

Kazan [Russia], May 15: The International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" started its work in the capital of Tatarstan, with a key theme of "Trust and Cooperation".
The KazanForum business programme consists of 12 thematic tracks, including international cooperation, economics, tourism, business, science and technology, Islamic finance and investment, sports, halal industry and others.
Experts from Russian regions, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries and other states will take part in 125 sessions.
Speakers will discuss regional specifics of promoting health practices and medical technologies at the sessions "Mutual Integration of Wellness Practices of the Muslim World in the BRICS Countries (BRICS Health Coalition)", and "Strategy for the Development of Modern and Traditional Medicine in the CIS countries, BRICS, SCO, EAEU (ASI)".
The programme also includes the 10th Kazan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of the OIC countries, a forum for young diplomats of the OIC countries, presentations of startups, a tournament of young chefs and other events.
KazanForum guests will also be able to visit the international exhibition "Russia Halal Expo".
