Russia, Iran complete integration of national payment systems

Moscow [Russia], July 8: According to Farzin, Shetab cardholders will be able to use them at ATMs in Russia by the end of August. At the next stage, Russian citizens will be able to pay with Russian cards in Iran. At the final stage, Iranians will be able to pay with Shetab cards in Russian stores through regular banking terminals.
In addition, Russia and Iran have signed an agreement on the liquidity of national currencies to facilitate bilateral trade. In April, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani announced that the project to accept Russian MIR cards in Iran has entered the implementation phase.
