Police destroy drug labs in south Afghanistan

Zaranj [Afghanistan], August 30: The police have destroyed three drug processing labs in south Afghanistan's Nimroz province, provincial director for counter-narcotics police Abdul Wasei Omar said on Tuesday.
"After spotting the place by security personnel in Delaram district, we launched operations today and destroyed three crystal meth labs," Omar said, adding that no one was arrested during the operations.
The Afghan police detained 18 suspects for drug smuggling and seized a large haul of illicit drugs in the capital Kabul and seven provinces in the country on Monday.
