Ottawa [Canada], August 21: Numerous wildfires are presently blazing across Canada, as declared by the responsible organisation, Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC).
This entity has reported over 800 active fires, with 223 of them being out of control. Even the famous Jasper National Park in the western section of the country has been touched by these infernos, enduring flames for weeks on end.
As a result of these wildfires, the park in the Canadian Rockies has been closed to tourists, as indicated on the park's online platform. All camping reservations until September 3rd have been canceled due to the fires. The affected area spans more than 33,000 hectares.
