Iraqi premier warns that growing conflict risks Gaza's destruction

Oct 11, 2023

Moscow [Russia], October 11: Further escalation in Israel's conflict with Hamas would lead to the obliteration of the Gaza Strip, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Al Sudani warned during a meeting in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He also blamed the long silence of the international community for allowing the situation
to fester.
"There is now a difficult and dangerous development of events in Palestine," Al Sudani said, according the Russian translation of the meeting.
"This is the natural result of Israel repeatedly violating the rights of Palestinians. The international community has been silent, unable to fulfil its obligations under internationally recognized resolutions." (DPA)
