Erdogan says Islamic world should be united to stop Israel's attacks on Gaza

Ankara [Turkey], May 3: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a phone conversation with his Gambian counterpart, Adama Barrow, that the Islamic world should act in unity to stop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, Erdogan's presidential office said on Thursday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Ankara had decided to join South Africa's lawsuit against Israel with the International Criminal Court. "President Erdogan said that it was important for the Islamic world to act in unity to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza and ensure compliance with UN resolutions," the office said in a statement.
The Turkish president said that joint steps to improve relations between Ankara and Banjul could be taken "in the upcoming period," the office added. (Sputnik)
