Eleven dead after school bus crashes into students in eastern China

Beijing [China], September 5: Eleven people, including five schoolchildren, died after a school bus crashed into a group of students in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong, state media reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Taian city, where the bus crashed into a group of students waiting at the gate of their middle school, news agency Xinhua said.
Chinese state television reported that the driver lost control of the bus at an intersection, leading to the fatal crash. Twenty-four people were initially reported injured, a toll which included the 11 fatalities. (DPA)
